“Created in the mind of God in 1994~A dream of the little yellow house with the white picket fence was in my heart and I didn’t understand at the time” ~Valerie
Dream built in 2015 ♥️ We opened January 1st, 2019 in response to the devastating tragedies of the Woolsey fires and Borderline shootings which occurred the same week in 2018. The Lord showed Valerie a dream, and with the promptings of many friends and memories the Lord put Snapdragon on her heart as she felt the community needed a way to heal. Snapdragon Healing Center was born when Christian artist and Life Coach Valerie Kobabe stepped out of her comfort zone, and into her dream to create a place to gently process and share our grief though art and community. A rocky start as no one quite understanding this vision ~ we carried Snapdragon into a global pandemic, as Valerie acted as forerunner for the Lords vision “the marketplace as a new mission field “ and the “kingdom at hand” and so she kept the faith. Below are helpful friends and memories ... |
Sometimes words are difficult so we utilize art to heal. At Snapdragon we:
Our artist community is loving and accepting. We are blessed with Pastors, Chaplains, artists, musicians, teachers, counselors and volunteers working together to feed and nourish the soul. We cherish these people, all our clients, students and friends, and we especially wish to help others heal through art and prayer, and to reconnect with the love of Christ in daily living and through creating. We find joy in the daily disciplines of art, music and writing, and have created many opportunities to join and partake in loving events or serve the community. We are a group of optimistic, lifetime artists and spiritual seekers ~ and we believe art saves lives. We also believe community supports the lives we are witnessing to; so~if you feel a call to join us we will do our best to help support and have you join in any way we can. ~I believe Art saves Lives and if you are seeking God He has already known and found you.~ So let’s get closer and learn about His nature ~ Val a special thanks to Artists and Teachers : JESUS ❤️ DeLesprie Janet Amiri Costa Mantis Sue Hedge Jane Lewty Tatiana Soltan Dani Casarotti Katelin Murray April Juels Suemary Long Shayna Kasbee Gordon Durich Lorraine Dilworth Stephanie Payson Lily Kobabe Phoebe Kobabe Maia Kobabe thanks to : Wax on my Wick and The Crafting Mermaid And a huge thank you to Candra Coogan, Anita Morata, Judy Fergus, Paula Keats, Ann Robin, Shirley Stanton, Richard and Nona Bogatch, Justin and Peggy, Jack Scalia, Lucy Nigh, Bill James, Pastor Leaf Zwerling and Joanie, Alex and Andrea, and Richard Snyder 🙏without whose physical support and presence our story would never have been told...
